What is your thoughts about how to obtain the highest potential??

Is it only the training???

Is it how good your tactic is for your players??

Is it a combination of the two??

Or something Else??

I've always believed its a combination of training and exposure to matches, either reserves, loaned out or first team matches. The latter being the better??

But when you say exposure to matches does the tactic matter??

What about succes is that a factor???

Is Rating a factor??

The reason why a made this thread is because a made a savegame with the intention of trying Danielewisz' LU Tactic. In my first season i won the Serie A (I'm AC Milan) and in the second season the tactic didn't work anymore because of Re-ranking so i finished on a disappointing 4th.

None of my players has become world-class players?? And i have really good players and have bought some wonderkids also.

My Assistant manager Costacurta have in my team report given Ustari and Kaka 4 stars and that was the highest rate of stars. Pirlo got 3??? My players have according to him progressed in a negative direction.

I'm using Cleon's training so couldn't be all wrong?

They're stats haven't seemed to fall but why is this?? And i thought about this thread.

So i hope it can get a good discussion :cool:

I may be wrong, but so far in with my Milan squad, I have Insua, Roman, Sakho and Abenzoar who are u20 defenders playing in my Serie A matches. They have progressed extremely well, with a 4 game winning streak. Only 2-3 goals got through and they have been performing past their potential. I guess it is exposure to matches and training as stated above. I am using the darkstart training though ;D

But what about your Players from 25-29. What do your coach say about their stars. How long have you played?

I think playing matches from a young age is far more important than training.

I remember once buying a young player cos he had the same surname as me and cos he'd caused my team no end of trouble in a match against us even though his attributes weren't fantastic.

Put him on my shortlist for a laugh, a load of teams went in for him, so I did too. I won, he joined at 17/18. Within 2 seasons he was a regular in my side and an England international and I was receiving £20 million bids for him, but his progression def accelerated once in team.

I think FM is quite good in that way. Just like real life you have highly rated youngsters who never quite make it into the 1st team and never go on to fulfill their potential

This is my first season and I at the 5th of April. The ratings and stars on my players seem fine, even the 25-30+ year olds.

Ron_Crapmanager : Sounds very good. My young players also progress when in first team but when the turn 24 or 25 the stop and almost go backwards. Did you young talent have much succes. Did he get high rating?? Did you team win something???

Jusso: In my first season all seemed fine. It was in my second and third season it seemed as they ability went backwards??
