My mate and I are going to start a new internet game against each other but we want a new good challenge. We have done Scotland and England.

Can anyone advise on 2 pretty even teams in Europe that will give us a good challenge????

How about doing the Dutch League with Ajax and PSV? both massive rivals so should be alot of fun :thup:

Holland - Ajax and PSV

Spain - Barcelona and Real Madrid

Italy - Ac Milan and Inter Milan

Spain - Valencia and Sevilla.

Both have some quality players. Both arent supposed to be winning the league (unlike Barca and Madrid) but both with plenty of players to have a lot of fun with!

My flatmate and I have done a few challenges of this sort. Going back a few years now actually. The first we did was on CM 01/02 and I managed Roma while he was AC Milan. Of course back then their teams were very similar in terms of quality. I think they're pretty similar these days too actually.

We've also tried FC Bayern and Dortmund (in CM 03/04). Granted the difference in quality is far more evident these days but it was still fun trying to break Bayern's dominance (I was Dortmund). The latest one not in the UK that we tried was Sevilla and Betis (FM 2005). If you want a rivalry then you can't go much further. Sevilla are probably better these days but it was probably still the best two player I've had.

benfica and sporting maybe? my knowledge of portugal is rubbish tho
maybe juve and roma? nice rivalry
inter milan and ac milan kinda obvious tho
sao paulo and palmeiras/santos or something if you wanna get well away from the big names?
