I play with Heerenveen (holland), but Alves needs a work permit.

Twist is, i can't ask for one, and he already has one from Sweden...
So how can i make him play?? Am i missing something? (something other that giving a new contract)

(yes this is 1st time i play this game, and yes i have been searching through te forums)

There is no reason why he shouldnt be able to get a WP, as he is elegible for sweden, who are european. Not sure why this is happening!

Are you 100% sure he has Swedish nationality?

On my game it states that he is eligible for Swedish nationality having completed 1825 days in Sweden, but it says he is considering citizenship, which means he hasn't made his mind up yet!

whenever i tried to sign him for middlesbrough i always get it cancelled at the work permit part. He's never been given one. But then again Vanger Love didn't get one as well in Summer 08 when i was after him

The thing with Alves is that he was in dispute with Heerenveen at the beginning of the season. He didn't want to play for them since they nixed a transfer to a bigger team in Holland. Since he played again, all has been forgiven (scoring 7 goals in his return match). Oh, ahd he'll be joing man city at the winterintevall

Go to the player, on the left hand side go to personal. At the bottom-ish of the page you will see the nationality information.

Don't think there is anything you can do to 'make his mind up', lol.
