I slaughtered Barry for going to Blackburn then coming back to Rangers.
But he received three MoM awards in his first five games. The Blackburn fans absolutely loved him when he was there. He was their best player for the majority of the time he was there - the fact that he wanted to come home without giving the Premiership a full tryout was perhaps a bit sheepish but he hardly failed.
you are spot on mate the arogant english at it again, the english dont want celtic and rangers because they no they would be the major teams in a couple of seasons, celtic get 60000 every week rangers 50000,would man utd arsenal get that if they were playing st mirren motherwell i dont think so.if celtic and rangers were in the epl they would also be able to sign all the top players because they would all want to play in the biggest derby in the world.
Celtic and Rangers have held their own against the English teams they have come across in the Champions League, too - Celtic were very impressive against Man United and we (Rangers) put up a decent enough fight. Celtic brushed by Blackburn like they weren't there in the UEFA Cup a few years back, and also took Liverpool to town on their journey.
We may play in a sub-par League, yes, but we can only beat what is put in front of us. Winning the SPL nets you £2m. Merely avoiding relegation in the Premiership rakes in £25m+. Give Rangers and Celtic that kind of money and we'd be a force.
I'd like to see anyone outside the top four or five in England doing as well as Rangers and Celtic have in European competition in recent years. </BLOCKQUOTE>
