This season has been injury filled for Nakamura and he has gotten slower, glimpses of him here and there but nothing really special. Still when hes out we miss him, alot. Worth £7m+ easy.
| Actally let me edit that:
1. Juninho Pernanbuanco
2. Pirlo
3. Beckham

Anyone who can say Larsson is not a world class striker should be shot!! And this is coming from a rangers fan. Probably one of the greatest ever goals scorers in modern day football. Anyone who comments about his form in holland as his downfall is daft he was just a late developer (Didier Drogba anyone??) he came on and won the champions league final for Barca against Arsenal.
Anyway, A good replacement for Nakamura in Sulley Ali Muntari. He is brilliant in the role you are looking for and can also replace nakamura as ur set piece taker as he scores and assists many goals from dead ball situations

| You are aware that Larsson played right side of midfield for Feyenoord when he was there aren't you?
Signed as a striker, played right wing at Feyenoord, back to Striker at Celtic.
Plenty of goals both in the SPL AND v Europe's best, plus goals World Cup and European Championship finals.
More goals for Barca and turned a Champ League final.
Ohh and when the best manager in Britain in the last 30 years needed some help up front for a while who did he go for? And wanted to keep for longer than he originally signed for.
Thats some "little niche" he found indeed.

As for the SPL, aside from some competitive old firm derbies, the league is mediocre - Yes, the Glasgow clubs are intimidating at home in European games, like alot of 3rd tier clubs, such as Galatasaray et al - let's discuss their away Champions league form?
Players who have excelled in the SPL who have come to the Premiership have discovered the step up - Petrov, Miller, Maloney, and Barry Ferguson.
As for Larsson, a record of only 26 goals in 101 games in Holland, suggest he found a nice little niche for himself, in a league where plundering goals against the minnows come freely.
Mario Jardel anyone?
|
i love it when people say Barry Ferguson had a poor time in the Premiership. Have you checked his stats?
He was made club captain and won more MoM awards Per Game than any other player during his time there.
Thierry Henry was quoted recently saying that Barry was World Class.

i love these kind of debates. im a dundee united fan and live in glasgow. yes the spl is small, but are the teams rubbish? no.i'd have to say its pretty good for a country the population of central london. scottish football is on the up and i think all those negative english comments are just cause our national side is one place behind them in the world rankings. gonna be funny when we overtake after beating italy on the 17th |
