Im Cardiff and want Kleberson on a free but he never gets a wp, anyone else had this problem as it seems ridiculous - 30 caps for brazil and played at man u!!!????

All advice etc welcome!

He might have 30 caps, but none of them have been recent (because he's been, well, god-awful recently). To get a WP you normally have to have played in around 75% of your country's games in the last year or two.

I think its more of a problem in the game than anything. He should get a WP irl without a problem. I think the patch sorts out some of these problems. For eg, I tried to sign Bouzanis from Liverpool (as Arsenal) but it said that the transfer will go through 2 years later because U18 Aussie players are not allowed to sign for teams abroad!! That was just plain stupid. And I think that has been addressed in the patch. Maybe the problem you have also has been?

Anyway, what I DO know is that he would get a WP without a problem irl. And he should in the game as well. Just get FMM and modify his nationality to English. When you sign him, just put it back to Brazil. As far as I go, I dont see it as cheating. Its only fair. I did it with Bouzanis and got him to Arsenal (its been fixed in the patch I know but I dont like the bloody patch. So this way with the FMM works fine). :thup:

im having trouble offering arshavin a new contract in year 2010 as he cannot get a work permit although i signed him in 2007....

Yes the patch is out but its the BETA version. Dont know when the final version will come out. Check in the General Discussion forum. I think the links in there.

I tried to sign this chinese guy, he had 34 caps for China and had played in every game for them in the last three years, yet still he didn't get a work permit! Ridiculous

Why is it stupid that a law which is correct in real life about not singing u18 players from oz has been implemented in the game

same for brazil as well, annoying yes but not stupid. meant I had to wait a year to sign Lulinha
