Mascheran's contract expires at the end of te 1st season as usual, but I'm unable to snatch him up...

I'm in April and I can't see an option to offer him a contract. I haven't played with an English team before, so is this normal? Because with other teams, I'm able to offer him a contract any time after January.

When in England, you can only approach players playing in other English teams on a Bosman one month prior to their contract expiry.

but clubs from spain can offer earllier

Oh that explains it, I usually play with Barca and I can offer early. I thought it was a bug or something.
