I'm less impressed. His first ever post in LLM and he states that. Reeks of bragging.

Mate, if i'd managed to do that with Glebe Rangers, i'd be bragging to! Don't think it's bragging though. He/she is merely posting their achievements which is the purpose of this treads beginnings. I want to know how other folk have don't in N. Irish leagues. Keep em coming....

Posting achievements is not something that's typically done around here, except in the form of updates. Generally newcomers are treated suspiciously until their playing style is known. When one's first post is a little braggish, it doesn't come across well. Rightly or wrongly.

Apologies in that case. Pre-patch, i did manage Glebe Rangers. At the mo i'm very much undecided on who to begin with in the Irish League since i installed the patch. I will be asking Frank though. Not after tips or anything from this post. Simply, i'm a fan of the Irish League, in particular Crusaders FC as i lived around the Shore Road area. I have a huge interest in our wee league and was just curious as to how folk are getting on within these leagues in FM07.

No worries. It's a curious nature of this forum that new posters are not taken at face value. There's been a very long line of **** new posters, and the llm guidelines need to be adhered to to post here, and the rules of this particular forum need to be adhered to as well. Typically those that jump in without comprehending this never intend to.

Not a dig at you, just explaining the reason for Nobby's terse tone. If you stick around you'll find we're more than welcoming

Understood and thanks for the advice. I've been registered here a few weeks but have just sat by and read other peoples posts which was intentional as it helped me find my feet a little as well as reading the rules/guidelines etc. And indeed, i see your point regarding folk posting their achievements without going into great detail. I'm basically a LLM virgin and learning all the time. Thanks again.

David, I don't suppose your interest in the Irish league extends to knowing a bit about the real-life clubs does it?

There are a few gaps in my research that I'm finding hard to fill and would appreciate any help. This goes for anyone else who knows about the real clubs too. Please either drop me a mail or visit the site in my profile.

Indeed, politically correct, heinously optimistic - you never know mate. At statement promoting equality, shunning gender bias. I'm no relation of Mike Newell that's for sure!
