Season 2009 - SKA-Khabarovsk – Russian First Division
Another crack and by half-way we’re flying high atop the league by 3 points coming off the back of a 12-match unbeaten run. The bottom team then play a ridiculously attacking system against us and we lose 5-0 before failing to win in the next 7. An indifferent end to the season sees my worse finish yet, and although I’ve signed another two-year deal I’m beginning to feel I’ve peaked here. On the plus side, ageing Argie striker bagged 18 and an ex-fan favourite was resigned for less than he was sold for. However, players in key positions are ageing and next year could be tough if not my last.
League: 6th - P42 W17 D13 L2 GF52 GA38 GD+14 PTS64
Cup: Sixth Round, surprise surprise, 4-2 to Spartak Nalchik
Transfers: 3 in for 245k, 12 out for 2k

Season 2010 - SKA-Khabarovsk – Russian First Division
Another tale of so near and yet so far. Spartak Moscow inexplicably got themselves relegated last year and so I was effectively fighting for a single promotion place. Despite beating Spartak on one occasion, we once again slipped away and finished 6 points down on Amkar and the Premier Division. The ex-favourite was sold again for 1.5m, and then bought back for 200k, and my chairman sold my best winger over my head for 1.2m. First 1m player signed in January, and my highest-rated MC leaves for a further 1.6m.
