Seriously, thinking about starting a LL game and was wondering a couple of things, which I probably missed in the stickied threads.

1) Are facepacks and the like accepted (probably a really obvious one but meh)

2) If we have personal knowledge of decent players, are you allowed to search their name and scout them or do you just have to wait and see who your scout turns up with?

1. Accepted, I guess, but I don't use them.

2. Scouts only. Search can never ever be used.

Oh, though of another question, you see a player without a club, all attributes obscured, can you take him on trial to have a look at him?

How would you "see" a player without a club if your scout didn't turn him up? In which case his attributes would no longer be masked.

*theoretically* if you shortlisted a player who was performing well at a rival club, then was released at end of contract.

I'm can't really think of a situation where an LLMer would be interested in like the most famous player in the world.

*theoretically* it is possible for you to have scouted a player, had him on your shortlist for a long time and over time his attributes become masked again. If he then gets released from his contract and becomes a free agent, and you're unable to get a scout report on him, then yes I'd say it would acceptable to trial him.

I don't really see why you'd shortlist a player performing well for a rival club without also requesting a scout report too, but if you have done that, and haven't once scouted him in the whole time in takes for his contract to run out and be released... I guess it would be ok to trial him in, because again, you can't get a scout report on him if he's not playing, and you have heard of him and seen him play... meh, alright then, I'll allow for that *theoretical* possibility

I was referring to thread title, which got changed despite it including the most famous player in the world currently, which I thought was ok as most (if not all) people on here would have heard of him.
