2009
Due to me being generous in the department of promising wage rises upon promotion, our wage amount goes up from €6,900 per month to €8,600 per month, with an allowed amount of €7,100 per month. :o Fortunately, the board realize how awkward this is and stretch the allowed wages to 9,820 per week. And they give me €80k to spend on players, too. I grab the opportunity and quickly get a decent looking goalie, an AMC and a DL. After that, the wage limit is reached again.
My chairman proudly announces that we are linked to Landskrona now. We play a friendly against them, but they have no interesting players for loan.
The first shock of the season is our survival of the first round of the cup \o/. 0-1 against a 2nd division side. The match goes into extra time and both my MLs are out for a month

, but still a landmark

My new goalie is MoM, that is one heck a of debut! The second round is another landmark: we play at home. Against a team a division over us. Again, new goalie gets MoM and again we go into extra time and again we win!! \o/ Then comes the third round and what do you know? We win again! Against one of our division rivals. The fourth round then takes us travelling to the holders of the cup and top flight team Djurgården. Amazingly, we score within the first minute! In the course of the first half, Djurgården get one back, but we're clinging on. Then one of my AMCs decides to elbow an opponent in the face and gets a direct red. In the second half we concede 3 more, claw one back and leave with our heads up high. And with €128k in our pockets. Cups are great
The season, in the meanwhile, is going surprisingly well. The lads don't have any stage fright at all and turn out result after result. We reach as high as place one after half the season, despite a minor injury crisis. At this point our chairman decides to accept an offer of €350k + 25% sell on clause for my earlier mentioned young AMR. This (combined with the cup earnings  ) just about wipes our debt, but I'm sad to see him go, he was one of our most important players already and I feel we could have gotten more for him. Then again, the sell-on clause shows that my boss at least has
some business sense.
This move somehow makes the wage budget stretch a bit further, so quick quick, I go on the market and get in a physio, a scout, a first team coach and a goalkeeping coach, all having some actual abilities.
A few games after the first half of the season we get to play the 3rd placed team, away from home, and we utterly destroy them 1-4, leaving us in first place, 5 points over number two and 9 points over number three. Promotion becomes a real possibility
Next thing you know, our chairman accepts a €350k bid for the DL I got at the beginning of the season. This time, however, the only 'incentive' is that the other team are held to organize a friendly. No sell-on percentage! My respect for the chairmans financial aptitude takes a nose-dive, but after this sale we're actually out of debt.
Unfortunately, there are no good players on my shortlist that want to join us, even if I have some financial elbow room now.
Our performance doesn't suffer notably from these forced sales: we end up not losing for 11 games on the trot. Reversed aquaplaning
3 games before the end we beat number 2 and wrap it up: champions again! \o/ The players, the media and the board are piling on the kudos  I sneak a request for improved youth and training facilities in at that opportune moment, but alas, they say they can't cough up the necessary funds.
We finish the season with a win and a loss and leave number two 11 points behind us, having scored more than all other clubs and having conceded less than all others as well.
