Just started a new game with 2007. Something always bothered me with the previous version though. I usually choose teams at the bottom end of the English league. Eg Vauxhall Motors and Sutton Utd etc. After achieving the climb into the premiership I always seemed to get sacked (this after a couple of mid table seasons). Indeed on one occassion I won the league cup with shrewsbury only to get sacked at the end of the season for finishing in 10th compared with 7th the previous season......

Very very annoying. Has anyone else experienced this? and does it also occur in 2007?

I only got sacked once with FM2006. That was after 17 years with Basingstoke after I got them winning the Premiership. The sacked me cause I slagged off some jumped up little @rsehole who got sent off on his debut.

In FM2007 I haven't got sacked yet but looking at some of the updates sacking is still part of the game. My best and probably only advice I can give on this forum is if you get sacked dust yourself off and get another job. Good Luck :thup:

Hey, I get sacked from nearly anywhere in a year or two. so, stop whining.

I once managed to get Yeovil from the Conference to the Premiership (01/02) and got the push there after finishing 10th. Obviously, the board expected yet another top-3 position.

Got Tiger Woods 2007 from the Mrs for crimbo and I'm enjoying that at the moment. I will start a new save after the next patch as I want to get more leagues running.

I can top that with my 01/02 Billericay game. Got them to 7th in the Premiership on two occasions, and got sacked by the new chairman not once but twice.
