Moor Green 2006/07

Conference North

Media Prediction: Relegation battlers
Board Expectation: Battle bravely
Fans Expectation: Battle bravely

Another bad start with a run of 6 games without a win, including 5 defeats and were inconsistent for a while, but getting enough points to keep us above the relegation zone. We then started playing extremely poorly and after a run of 6 games without winning we were bottom. This run ended on my 1000th day in charge of Moor Green with a 2-1 victory over Leigh RMI, but we were still 3 points from safety with 3 games remaining. We were relegated with a game to spare

Got offered Halesowen job at the end of the season and accepted.

Conference North: 21st, 37 Pts
FA Trophy: 4th Round 2-3 Scarborough
FA Cup: 2nd Qual Replay 0-1 Leigh RMI

Players In: 6 (£11k)
Players Out: 4 (£20k)

Premiership: Chelsea
FA Cup: Arsenal
League Cup: Southampton
Champions League: Milan
UEFA Cup: Juventus

Moor Green 2005/06

Conference North

Media Prediction: Relegation battlers

Firstly, we get a new sponsorship deal worth £12.5k per year for 3 seasons.

Got offered Wycombe, Bury, Bristol Rovers, Grimsby and Burton Albion jobs at various points during the season but rejected them all.

No goals conceded in my pre-season tour to Wales gave me hope for a decent run this year but a run of 8 games without a win in the league to start us off left us in 20th. A 1-0 win over Lancaster ended the run and we went on to record just 2 defeats in 13 league games. Inconsistency in the second half of the season meant safety was assured with just 1 game remaining.

Also my home town team, Gillingham, got promoted to the Premiership

Conference North: 18th, 48 Pts
FA Trophy: 1st Round Replay 0-3 Bridlington
FA Cup: 2nd Qual Round 1-2 Dartford

Players In: 6 (£1k)
Players Out: 5 (£55k) + 2 retirements

Premiership: Man Utd
FA Cup: Fulham
League Cup: Chelsea
Champions League: Milan
UEFA Cup: Dortmund

World Cup: Italy

You're consistent Mike. You dropped three places each season.

Promising start, apart from the results, and what do they matter?.

Halesowen 2007/08

Conference South

Media Prediction: None
Board Expectation: Respectable league position
Fans Expectation: Respectable league position

This was obviously a much better squad than at Moor Green and I really felt we could push for promotion. A 4-1 win to start us off in the league gave me much hope for the season. We started well, and were 4th after 9 games but we lost 6-1 to St Albans and then didn't win for 6 games, knocking us out of both cups. We ended the run with a 6-1 win over Bishop's Stortford but were inconsistent and ended in 12th place.

Gillingham got relegated

Conference South: 12th, 54 Pts
FA Trophy: 2nd Round 0-2 Chippenham
FA Cup: 1st Round Replay 0-2 Farsley

Players In: 3 (£23k)
Players Out: 4 (£6k)

Premiership: Chelsea
FA Cup: Chelsea
League Cup: Liverpool
Champions League: Juventus
UEFA Cup: Bayern

European Championship: England

This may not be updated for a while as I unexpectedly got FM 2007 today but I'm sure I'll come back to it soon. Merry Christmas!

Clever man waiting for all the bugs to be removed before buying the game at half price, now why didn't I think of that
