Prior to intalling the patch, i started with Glebe Rangers in the Irish League Second Division. When i installed the patch, i restarted the game again, and sinned against LLM by restarting as Glasgow Rangers. Now i'm at the point of not enjoying the game as Rangers and wish to step down to LLM as i love the challange.. Is this against the rules in LLM? Portglenone, which is a village jusst up the road from me have been promoted to the Second Division. Thet have only two proper players and i am considering stepping down to this level of management again. However i do not wish to go against the rules of LLM. I've did a search on this but i can't find any topics relating to this. Also, the new build for the patch, is it worth installing and then me restarting in LLM. Does the new build have ant significance whatsoever?

Starting as Glasgow Rangers would give you a lot higher reputation meaning that you will attract better players and/or staff that you could for that level. So, if you want to start somewhere LLMish, i suggest you start a new save.

Oh, and read the forum header etc. about LLM. LLM is not a challenge, it is a way of life.

LLM = Realism.

How realistic is it for a manager to start at Rangers? How realistic is it for a manager to go from one of Europe's biggest Clubs to a 2nd Division Northern Irish village team?

Good points both of you. I will restart completely especially as i do not wish to have a reputation that will basically give me an advantage. That bigger club management i'm finding total "guff". It's the first time i've ever started as i big club since i started playing the CM/FM series. Thanks gentlemen. I've saw the light!

All being well, and given the time, i'll post on my progress once i decide on a club which i'll hazard a guess, will be a return to Glebe Rangers. I can't even remember the players i purchased in the last Glebe game, therefore this is a completely fresh beginning. Also, pre-patch, all Glebe's players were greyed out. I believe in the patch, they have a proper squad now. Would it be recommended to install the new build before i restart as i'm using the original 701? Any info would be appreciated as i which to induldge in the best LLM experience i can get. Thanks all. Also iajafer, if i've stepped out of line i apologise. New to the LLM forum. Have read the rules therefore if i am being a "twat", yellow card me and i'll accept it for my stupidity! Thanks again.

Don't worry about it David, just play to the ethos and the rest will take care of itself.

One option would be to retire your original manager and start again as a new one within the original save.

Probably naming him Dave the`Pentinent.

Thank you to everyone who's replied to my post. It's made me feel very welcome on this particular forum and i will indeed keep you all posted with regards to my progress with LLM. It's not that i am new here as such. I've always been LLM material from the days of CM but i've been deprived of the internet up until June 2006 and never knew forums like this existed. Folk could have ripped into me in this forum, and rightly so. However you have encouraged me and have not been judgemental in anyway and for that i am grateful. Cheers lads and hope you all have a great 2007.
