I'm playing as a lower league club and I'm restricting my signings to only those who I can scout (not completely LLM rules, I know). I signed a Hungarian player from another English club after a scout recommended him and since then have been asking him to recommend international team-mates. He's been recommending some absolute gems who I have been signing who would have previously broken my own transfer policy.
My question is, in your rules (which I'm not following), is a player recommendation as valid as a scout recommendation?
If you have an International playing in your team who says "Wullie McClogger would be a good guy to bolster our defence" how much attention would you pay to it? He could be a brilliant player, or he could be "Phil McCracken's" gay lover.
Ask for his recommendation, scout him, and make your decision based on that.
I signed a guy in the last game who was a player's favourite player with no conscience bother at all.
