I've just been promoted into league one with Burscough. (Promoted to Conference north after a season). As you can imagine, my training and youth facilities left a lot to be desired, and i had been hankering after the board for improvements, without success, since day one. Last season I acquired a reasonable amount of cash from a cup tie at Old Trafford. The board agreed to improve the training and youth facilities.

Come the end of the season, and promotion, the board announce improvements to the training and youth facilities, and a stadium expansion, requring me to groundshare for nine months. I thought... Woohoo! But then... This is going to cost me my entire bank balance and more?

To get to the point, it is now about a month after the board's announcement, and I just found that I was given almost £2million listed under the "grants" section in the finances page. I assume that this is something to do with the youth facilities improvements, but have never experienced anything like this before. It would have been nice to be told in a news item maybe!

Has anyone else has experienced this? If so I would be glad to hear, particularly if you know what triggered this event, as I am currently quite bewilidered, though pretty happy at the same time.
