Rather strange. Irish League football. A type of football that only has a small handful of full-time players at the "bigger" clubs, Linfield and Glentoran. So here i am managing Glebe Rangers in the Irish League 2nd Division. I enquire about 7 Premier League players rotting in the reserves as my team consist of a bunch of 16 & 17 years olds and i can guarentee them 1st team football. Contracts are offered. 5 turn me down because they don't want to play at a lower league club. But 2 of them turn me down because they weren't prepared to move from their current area. In Irish League football, a lot of players live miles away from their actual clubs but still play for them. Take **** **** for example who plays for Lisburn Distillery. IRL he is my friend and neighbour. But he travels from Ahoghill to Lisburn for home matches. At least 30+ miles. He did play for Ballymena for a time and lives in Ahoghill which is 4 miles outside Ballymena. He moves on to Crusaders (my team IRL) in Belfast which is at least 20 miles from where he resides and then moves on to Lisburn Distillery which is further away again. In my opinion this is something that should be corrected as i'd say most part timers live miles away from their football teams ground. Any other folk had this problem managing part time clubs?

Come the day you can claim to be perfect, then post comments back to people who make a genuine but unintentional error. For the record, i have a young daughter, a son and a partner that all use this computer. Prior to my son being on this computer, i'm having a trawl through the treads on GQ forum regarding the above post in an attempt to see if anyone has shed any light on the situation in the past. My son asks can he use the computer to which i am obliged to do so. So when i return to the computer, he has reopened the forum for me but put me onto LLM forum instead of the forum i was originally trawling through. I type out a post such as the above and to my horror it appears on the LLM forum instead of the GQ forum. I am bold enough to realize AT HASTE there has been a mistake, hence the apology just a few minutes later. Now to make judgemental comment that i'm "not LLM material" is a total misjudgement. Since the days of CM, i've always went for LLM in the game, without the need for cheating/tipping etc rather than begin as a big club.
In being factual about the player above from that resides 30 odd miles from his club, his name was mentioned because i'm writing about a real life situation. Therefore i've now learnt the lesson that player naming, including situations where folk are referring to real life is also a LLM no no and that wont happen again i assure you.
As stated, i made an error and don't need you to tell me i'm on the wrong forum when i've already publicly pointed out in haste after the original post that i have posted on the wrong forum. But what i would like you to point out is when i have "repeatly shown i'm not LLM material"? A post regarding Glebe Rangers when i missed a page regarding the 3 season rule is one. I recall a post enquiring as to whether there would be any logic in me resigning from a bigger club to take up a post with a lower league; which is not applicable to not being LLM material. I've posted regarding another forum member managing Portstewart. And i posted enquiring as to whether other members had managed in the Irish League as i was interested in reading how they'd got on. So can you please show me where/when i have repeatly shown i'm not LLM material. On this forum you have rules that must be adhered to and that is something i respect. One or two small mishaps, one of which is genuine and unintentional does not show a repeated disregard of LLM ethic. When the time comes that a moderator tells me to "refrain from posting here", that is when i do so.

"Too far away?". Eh, we're only part time! Post #5
Look at your previous posts and threads. It seems as though you didn't read or comprehend the rules in here. You having a son or daughter is no excuse for you not checking to see which forum you're in before creating a thread. It simply shows you aren't in the right place. It's like suggesting that because my car is an import, I can drive on the wrong side of the street because I didn't check the local laws.
Trust me, if the mods in here were to think I'm in the wrong, any or all would be sure to tell me so. In here, there is no innocent until proven guilty. With your posting history, you're going to be scrutinized, possibly beyond where you think is reasonable, until you've more than proven you're able to follow the rules laid out in this forum. I noticed you tried posting in LLM briefly, before deciding to visit both GPG and T&TT, and returning back here. Surely you could have read the threads in here from everyone else before you headed back into LLM.
Just because I'm not a mod doesn't mean I don't have the ability to see whether or not you're actually following the rules as they're laid out in our forum. In fact, pulling the "well I'm going to talk until a mod tells me not to" attitude is something you should teach those children of yours. It is going to get them ahead in life, for sure.
And, if you're counting, that's two posts since your "return" that you want to just see disappear. Ever heard of the boy who cried wolf?
Try getting legitimate if you want to be welcomed in here.

If you're going to quote me, get it right. Not all Canadians are laid back. Particularly when we're drunk on rye. You picked the wrong person on the wrong day. You're just lucky I'm feeling festive. (Then again, I might get a yellow card if I wasn't. Or worse yet, a poofy pink card. )
