Default 101 uses of Minsk-A Belarusian adventure

A new FM, a new long term career for myself, as I put my 46 seasons at Workington behind me.

This time, wanting a bit more variety in my game, i've decided to start in the middle of nowhere, and work my up around the world.

B]Selected Leagues:[/B]Belarus (First League and above), England (Conference N/S and above), N.Ireland (Second Division and above), Ireland (First Division and above), Wales (Premier League Only)

Database: Large

No idea why Belearus, but it got my attention

FC Minsk 06

A summer season, so already something new for me to adjust to. Starting in the Belarusian first league, the newly-formed FC Minsk side has arrisen from the ashes of FC Smena Minsk.
With 10k of transfer fees, and a lack of anything else, fun ensues.

Letting my assistant manager take control of our firendlies, I avoid the transfer market to start with, and work out what, and who I can salvage from the existing squad. Unfortunately this amasses to a capable defence and a young keeper who shows promise.

It also highlights our complete lack of a strikeforce though, and so I go raiding our richer neighbours, MTZ, Lokomotiv, and Dynamo for useable scrap. This involved sending my sole scout out to give me a report on every single player in each of their reserve squads and hope to find something of use. Thankfully this works out, and a Georgian reject makes his way across town from MTZ to our respectable little 5200-capacity stadium for a total sum of £666 and as much green grass as he can handle.

So, on wards to the season itself

Media Prediction: 200-1 mid-table obscurity if were lucky
First League: 1st (Shows how well predictions work ) My georgian goes on to net 20 goals in 26 starts, including 4 in the last game of the season

Belarusian Cup: 1st round exit (Cups suck Arse!)

Reserves League: 16th (Rock bottom-the futrues bright)

FC Minsk 07

Another season, another prediction of us rolling over and getting shafted by everyone in the nation. A few signings for tuppence see our huge £7k transfer fund disappear in smoke, but our new £682k sponsership deal looks set to put us on a solid financial footing.

First international as my georgian gets a call up, also some presence in the Belarusian youth squads.

Media Prediction: 500-1

Highest League: 9th 31 points

Belarusian Cup: 3rd round (tbc...)

Reserves League: 4th (new youth coach earning his wages)

FC Minsk 08

Building our finances further, another year of growing stability, and strengthening of the squad, more predicted shafting by the media. This added to by our chairman whoring us out
to Birmingham as a feeder club, despite claiming were to good to be a feeder club, ah well, extra £30k a year not to be sniffed at.

Young keeper moves upto the Belarus U-21 squad, and establishes himself there.

Media Prediction: 200-1

Highest League: 8th 33 points (hey, its progress)

Belarusian Cup: 4th Round exit to MTZ (1-0 on aggregate)
3rd round exit to Derida (4-3 on aggregate)

Reserves League: 1st (Yay! still no-one useful coming through, but we can hope)

More fun to come .
