Ended up at Histon, them having escaped relegation from the conf. north on goal difference.

So, poor squad, legendary manager, worst facilities in the league, but best scout data due to my previous job.

In come 5 freebies, one loan AMC, out goes £6k of wage budget leeches.

So finances at least stable, £100k of transfer money put aside for a rainy day, and a squad now with some decent players.

Oh, and one bit of magic from poland up front .

Histon 2022/23

Conference North: 2nd, p42 w27 d10 l5, pts91 (behind a rampant Halifax)

FA Cup: 4th Quals. vs Colchester 2-2(replay) (2-4pens.)

FA Trophy: 3rd Round vs Halifax 1-2

Conference North Playoffs:Winners vs Bedford(10men after 23mins) 2-0

Best defence in the league, conceding only 26, matched with a monster up front, the young polish lad up front netting 53 in 44 leading to a very good season. Only issue was Halifax, netting over 100 in the league, and laying waste to all in their way, but the playoffs ever my friend let us up. Not bad seeming we only picked up 4 points in the first 5 games .

Kudos to a superior manager - it takes entire seasons (and then some) for new teams/players to gel when I'm in charge.

Scouts are your friend , that and I've been jumping from underperforming club to underperforming club so far and just going with the flow.

Minsk seem to have been a well funded new club at the start though I didn't realise this, turning small profits each season and allowing for the growth, and IRL ran away with the division first season as well.

Kildare were underperforming badly the season I arrived there but financially gave me some cash to spend and had a top half team in place to begin with, so just a few players were needed.

Southend had been in the premiership for a season just before I took over so had a good reputation to work with and with the wage bill down were a very profitable club, and with Histon so far they were poor, but only due to the lack of a decent DC or two and a high scoring striker, and there were about 9 high quality DCs going for free the summer I moved there allowing a decent defence to be in place almost instantly.

Only real achievement has been using whats already in place right, and the rest is down to me lucking out on the fact that my randomly assigned manager nationality has seen a steady stream of solid players willing to chance their arm with me in foreign lands.
