Should note this is the final season my backlog of polish scouting from my time at Minsk lasts to, so the influx of young polish freebies should stop come the end of the season .

Making up for lost time.

Kildare County 14

Irish Premier Division: 8th, p33, w10 d11 l12 pts 41

League Cup:Semifinal vs Sligo Rovers 1-1 (2-3 on pens.)

Irish Senior Challenge Cup: 2nd round vs U.C.D. 0-2

We beat Bohemians at last, beating them twice in the season. Polish influx continues, and my contribution to the Polish U-21s starts to get silly.

On a not so positive note, we barely break even despite the valuable cup run, and the only way i'm going to get the debt down is to reach europe, with no transfer funds.

First full international in the club as as a cayman islands goalie I picked up on a free close season from an Irish uni. team becomes not only his nations number 1 but my MVP.

Aims: Get the damn debt reduced
Keep hold of my valuable youngsters and continue signing freebies.
Find new source of slave labour closer to home .

Classic season of two halfs. First half, poor performances, low scoring the main issue. Finances sorted by selling off our two best players pre-season, and using it to fund an improvement of our training grounds.

Second half led by the training facilities being finished, sees us become a free-scoring example of beautiful football, and sees our rise up the table.

Kildare County 15

Irish Premier Division: 5th, p33, w14 d8 l11, pts50

League Cup: Quarter Final 0-1 vs Sligo Rovers

Irish Senior Challenge Cup: Winners 2-1 vs Drogheda Utd

No more polish coming in, but money to burn as my newest wonderkid is shipped off to Spurs for £3million (Amazed they met his min. release fee, but had to sell in the end, now worth £30million ). Club finally safe financially, and some form of European football next season, so the building can begin in earnest.

Finally have transfer money, and at last can improve facilities at will, so bring on the future \o/.

Er....said 30million valued player has just been bought, and our 50% sell-on clause came into effect :S.

We've just become the first fulltime club in Ireland with the procedes. This could be interesting.

First season fulltime, cash to burn and with facilities miles ahead of anyone else in the league, surely only one result.

Kildare County 16

All-Ireland Cup: Winner 1-0 vs Linfield

Irish Premier Division: 1st, p33, w24 d7 l2, pts79.

League Cup: Runner-up 0-1 vs Shelbourne (having beat them 5-0 5 days earlier with a weakened squad )

Irish Senior Cup: Winners 2-0 vs Derry City

UEFA Cup: 2nd Qualifying Round 3-1 agg. vs Bolton

Brilliant season of almost total domination in Ireland, but never going to advance further in the UEFA as we were totally outclassed by Bolton, so decided everything possible had been done at Kildare. At the end of the season I resign as manager of Kildare County ending a 5-year period filled with success for the small club.

With a certain recently ex-leeds manager making a mess of my beloved Southend, I set about a smear campaign to remove the already underfire manager and assume my role at my favourite club. I join them 27 games into the season, bottom by 4 points in the championship, and with half of the 20 man squad in the physio room.

May the adventure continue.

A new club, a new turn to the tail .

Southend 17

English Championship: 18th, p46 w15 d7 l24, pts52

FA Cup: 5th round vs Bolton 2-1

Taking over to find the club leaking money, and paying most of it to a bunch of the most hopeless players i've ever seen outside the Conference regional divisions.

3 straight losses see me abandon my traditional English formation, and go for Charlton brick wall tactics to try to stop the goals leaking in at almost two a game. Thankfully the January transfer window gave me the opportunity to start the changes.

A slow improvement in form led to a steady climb, seeing us escape the relegation zone for the first time with 4 games remaining, and then pick up 10 from 12 points in the last 4 games to finish a flattering 18th.

The squad is still poor, though January transfers now mean it has a strong core. A lot of poor players will be heading away from the club as soon as I can get my scout to find anything other than the one wonderkid, way out of my price range.

Main need for the new season is a striker, as were about as toothless and aged upfront as Church .

Also would be nice to get some talented youth through, thhough I can't complain about our transfer facilities (for once).

Onwards, and hopefully upwards.

Have the urge currently to slam my keyboard through the skull of my chairman. Of the core of players I brought in during the january sales, and around which I was building my team, he has just sold off without consulting me 3 of the best of them, for values way under what they were worth (2 million a piece for 3-5 million rated players ). This despite the fact I had slashed the existing wage bill in half and just got rid of 2/3rds of the squad, thus fixing our financial problems.

My squad is now ripped to pieces, and made up of first teamers, and 8 youth teamers, next season is looking bleak.

Is this a new feature or have I just been lucky? I've never had a chairman sell players out from under me.
