Hi to all the LLamas out there, this is my first update ever since my first joys
of management back in the cm2001 days.

Lets get right down to it then, Frank chose a little club for me by the name of Kettering
in the Conference North.
I did'nt know anything about Kettering because i have never managed the club ever and
was abit worried until i saw their media prediction, to my delight they were touted
the league champions by the press, and so I start my first days at Rockingham road
full of confidence...

2006/07 Kettering Pld Won Drn Lst For Ag G.D. Pts
4th 42 20 10 12 63 48 +15 70

Board Expectation - To achieve a respectable league position
Fan Expectation - same as above
Media Prediction - 1st
Actual Result - 4th and Promotion
Fa cup - 2nd round knocked out by halesowen 2-3
Fa trophy - 1st rnd knocked out and biggest lost by Stafford 2-5
Biggest win - 4-0 vs Hinckley in the Conferance North playoff Final
Club Top goal scorer - 16 goals

For most of the season we were sitting in the bottom half of the table
but after a few decent free signings, we managed to go on a winning streak of 5
and unbeaten run of 13 games to finish 4th, 1 point above gainsborough and secure a playoff spot.
We cruised in the playoffs managing to beat Hinckley in the final 4-0.

A very good season for us especially towards the end, I didn't really expect
to gain promotion but after we had a few straight wins and were climbing up
the ladder, the players, me and everyone else involved with the club were
starting to believe and luckily we didn't dissapoint, hopefully we can continue
this unbeaten run well into next season in the Conference National!

2007/08 Kettering 11th Pld Won Drn Lst For Ag G.D. Pts
46 19 13 14 53 44 +9 70
Board Expectation - Stay clear of relegation
Fan expectation - same as above
media prediction - 14th
actual result - 11th
club top scorer - 12 goals

We made 6 excellent signings which strengthen the side alot and we were able to
overachieved to a decent mid table finish of 11th.
A wacky moment in the season was when the opposition had 3 of their players red carded,
this happened 2 matches in a row!

2008/09 Kettering 2nd Pld Won Drn Lst For Ag G.D. Pts
46 27 9 10 74 36 +38 90

Board Expectation - mid table position
Fan expectation - same as above
media prediction - 12th
actual result - 2nd
club top scorer - 31 goals

We signed another 5 players, most notably the striker from blackburn and goalkeeper from stoke,
goals were raining in for us this season and the goalkeeper helped us on the other end too, by the end of the
season, MK Dons offered us 95k for our goalkeeper who was worth 16k, i countered the offer,
i wanted 250k because with his abilities he could easily be a premier league or
championship player and of course they rejected the offer. Soon after our player wanted a move to a
bigger club but i told him to stay and he was happy to stay and help the team move foward.
Anyways we ended up in the playoffs but was heartbroken when accrington scored the winner
in the 74th min, 1-2 the score in the playoff final.
The standards are set for next season and we are hoping to gain promotion, if not then I think i'll have
to resign and look for another club.

2009/10 Kettering 7th

Not a good start to the new season, losing our 1st game then drawing the next 2 then we
finally manage to get a win but losing the next 2. Our top striker and new one both struggling for form with
a combined 6 goals, we are also 380k in the red.
It certainly does not look good and I Think ill be looking for a new team at the end of the season...

I stopped our losing streak by changing our formation from *-*-* to a *-*-*, we managed to get a win and a few draws,
i then decide to revert back to a *-*-* left sided sweeper formation and due to injuries to 2 of our first team strikers,
i decide to give one of our 19yr old home grown striker a shot and it paid off, we had an unbeaten run
of 19 but mostly made up of draws.

A very dissapointing season, ended up finishing 7th in the league, our strikers could just not score and
our injury problems was what killed us the most.
The media prediction for us was 1st but the board and fans were certainly delighted, afterall we did
achieve a respectable position and also had a good cup run reaching the FA cup 4th road and semi final of the
FA Trophy, knocked out by Southhampton and Gravesend respectively.

I think I will stay with kettering and try one more time to get them up...

P.S. Chelsea has won the Premiership Title 6 times in a row now..

Superkeepers are a figment of the collection imagination (like aquaplaning ).

It's just that your strikers are so crap (or your tactics, ofc) that they make the opposition goalies look super.
