Season 2007/08 - Stalybridge Celtic (Conference North)
Keen to build on results of the previous season, Willie Wilde decides not to play around too much with tactics, or dabble in the transfer market. The first half of the season starts well, but a series of lacklustre results leave Stalybridge lying in 13th place by Christmas. A good run during January and February sees Celtic rising higher in the division, eventually finishing the season in 8th.

Season 2008/09 - Stalybridge Celtic (Conference North)
Willie Wilde decides that it's time to bring new blood into the team, making 3 pre-season signings, and a further 2 during the season. New tactics are employed, but this makes little difference and Stalybridge sit in 12th place by Christmas. A mixed bag of results follow, and Stalybridge end the season in 10th place.
Willie Wilde is tempted by the managerial role at Shrewsbury (just relegated to the Conference National), but decides to stay on at Stalybridge for at least another season.
