One of the new youth team members is from Canada which is exciting to me. Wages are over budget by $30k/a, so that needs to be rectified before I can start bringing players in. One loan player from Tottenham and he looks like a doozy. 10 matches in and our leading scorer is a centre midfielder with 7 goals. Strikers have 6 between the 4 of them…

FA Cup: 1-2 to Yate, 3rd Qualifying round replay
FA Trophy: 1-2 to Leatherhead, 2nd Qualifying round

League: Bounced around just above relegation the entire season. Clear of relegation with two games left in the season. 3 quality loanees are helping keep us out of relegation (40 goals from them)

Placed: 17th
P42, W13, D10, L19, F64, A77, 49pts.

1 player in for $0k
7 players out for $0k

Fans player: 21 year old midfielder who scored 14 goals.

Bring in a striker on non-loan, quite the accomplishment, a decent (hopefully) goalie, and two new defenders to stem the goal leakage. Clear out a bunch of wage leeches. I figure we can finish easy mid-table.

FA Cup: 1-2 to Bracknell, 3rd Qualifying round
FA Trophy: 1-2 to Weston-super-Mare, 3rd Qualifying round

Each home match we set new records for attendance and gate receipts and we sit in the playoffs until my loaned MC gets sold and pulled from my squad at the same time I sell my fans fav MC for $150k to clear all the club debt. Then a mad dash to fill the gap (with some transfer kitty, making it a bit easier) as we slide down the table, eventually yo-yoing into 7th. Marked improvement in goals against, but still looking for that killer attacker.

Placed: 7th
P42, W16 \o/, D13 \o/, L13, F54, A42, 61pts.

7 players in for $26k
18 players out for $150k (team was stacked with leaches, only a couple of whom I signed…).

Fans player: non-loan striker who went 20 hours before hitting the back of the net, ending with 16 in 39.

I've thought and pondered and scratched my head for, oooo, about three seconds, and still haven't the foggiest as to the relevance of the thread title.

Re: Heading: Close. I'll leave the heading demystification up to wild guessing and google searches.

Re: Canadian youths: seeing as I am a Canuck, thought it especially cool to have one show up in my youth squad. He was released fairly soon afterwards...
