Well this update i am going to post here is originally my game from Dafuges Challenge, but i decided to post my updates here as well. so here are my first three seasons with Margate!
Aw well, again another semi-succesful season, I improved my position last season by one place to finish 12th this year.
I had the same top goalscorer this season, and he seems to be doing very well at Margate.
Had a neucleus of the same players from last season with 5 or 6 new signings and that didnt really mkae much help so this year i'm going for a full squad overhaul, only keeping 8 players, see if that helps.
I don't know about promotion next season, but i'm definately looking at finishing in a playoff position which i dont think is too much to ask considering I've already had two mid-table finishes in this league.
Well that concludes a quite succesful first season (a mid table finish with a bunch of **** players is pretty decent as far as i'm concerned)
I think my Decent start to the season helped me greatly and a 12 game unbeated run (ok 8 of them were draws) really helped drag me up from the lower parts of the league to finish 13th
Board and Fans are delighted at my performance for the season and I'm happy enough with a mid table finish.
Next season i'll be hoping for a top half finish (i'm unsure about promotion though as my players will still all be ****, but i'd be very happy with a top ten finish anyway.
Now for a major squad overhaul during the pre-season
Well i got the play-off place i was looking for this season, however i got beat by an aggregate score of 3 - 0 by Dag & Red in the semi-final.
With a new bunch of players this season i was not very optimistic, and with 6 0 - 0 draws in the first 10 games of the season i was becoming a little worried.
However after a few tactical changes and some new personnel i started winning games and slowly started climbing the table, reaching a top position of third, and from about november till the end of the season i was more or less in the play-off spots.
So now my plans for the next season are to:
1. buy some stronger players and really push for top spot and automatic promotion.
2. create a new tactic that stops me conceding so many goals and scores a fair amount more (i know thats what everyone looks for in a tactic but i really want to create a new one for myself)
3. Get rid of the **** that is playing for me and picking up wages every week.
A couple of things: that challenge you refer to has nothing to do with LLM. Just make sure if you are posting here that you have followed all the LLM guidelines. Also, screen shots aren't really needed, especially when they show player names ... and I only clicked on one of them.
Sorry to act like the Thought Police here, but had a quick peek through your last posts, and you've posted in T&T, GPG, and from the looks of things tried to run some sort of European Superleague. I assume you can't do that without heavily modifying the DB. So I'm a bit skeptic about your LLaMa-ness.
Your phrasing of the tactic part didn't help either. Looks like you've just downloaded tactics before, but now you want to create one for yourself.
