It's strange, you seem to disagree with Iajafer then repeat something he(we) has been saying for years.

It's fine if someone wants to start as Liverpool and win the league, I don't care and good luck to them. What I do care about is if someone who is posting in here is posting in GPG about their great players for their Liverpool team.

It is morally wrong for someone claiming to play as LLM (Not just a lower league club) and then doing something such as that, because it goes against everything we stand against.

It's the same with starting a game with a big club. LLM is all about starting at the bottom and working your way up because we believe in realism and thats one of the fundamental laws of LLM.

Now how can you believe in realism and be LLM then starting off a game with Chelsea? The two just don't mix as Ian said.

There is nothing wrong with managing a top team once you have earned it.

To reiterate, it's fine for you to start off with a big club if that's what you want to do, but that is not the way we look at the game so don't come round these parts claiming the way of LLM.

Craig - I don't think anybody was arguing that managing Chelsea from the start was LLM.

The way I see the problem is: there are (basically) two ways of playing the game. One of them is using only the limitation embedded in the game itself. The other is to impose some extra limitations to increase realism.

I see no reason why I cannot play both ways (not at the same time of course). Just becasue in one game I chose Man Utd and won everything in three seasons does not mean I cannot start another game with Eastbourne Boro or other obscure clube name of which I cannot even spell correctly that would be a LLM game becasue it would succumb to LLM limitations. The way I see it is I gain no unrealistic advantage in my LLM game by playing Man Utd before.

If you claim otherwise then we come to a riddiculous conclusion that anybody who has ever started a game with a Premiership club is not a LLaMa.

You have missed my point entirely. I was using an example. You cannot start a game with Chelsea and have a game going as Grays and say you are LLM, because you aren't.

I am not saying anyone who has ever started a game with a big club is not a LLaMa. A lot of people who start off with the Cm/FM series usually do, you then get some seeing the light and joining the way we play the game.

I have started with a big club once maybe twice. LLM has been with me since the very start of me playing pretty much since CM94 on my old Amiga.

But you will also find the regulars here when they get a new game they don't start off with the Everton's, Liverpools etc, they usually start off in the lowest or second lowest league possible.

Do you know why? It's because as we have been saying all along, LLM is not a part time job. Once you are in you are in and you will find you will never go back. Why? Enjoyment, we like to play this way and we feel this is how the game should be played.

Someone said it in another post that LLM is not just a way to play a game, but it's the whole approach to the game.

I don't know if I can make it anymore clearer to you in this thread and in the other one. We have had some users come in here over the last 5 years and say exactly what you are saying and they were wrong then as you are wrong now.

One more question just to make things clear to me.

Say I play a LLM game following all the rules in the guidelines. I have been playing non-LLM games before and I will be playing them in the future but not at the moment.

I did use player/tactics tipping for my non-LLM games but never for LLM games (I don't play with real players anyway).

The question is: do you consider that a LLM game?

Play an LLM game to LLM spirit and ethics and post about it in here and it's an LLM game.

You'll soon be found out if you play otherwise.

I might have misunderstood what you said or vice versa. My point is, it's a game that you have paid for and you should enjoy it to the full extent and play every aspect you can. If you want at some time while playing to play with the 2006/2007 Liverpool team for 1 or 2 season, go ahead. It's your game and you should do what you want with it. You can still be LLM.

I see it more like the AA. You start by drinking (playing to flight) then you get help (start playing LLM) because being drunk all the time isn't fun. You might slip once in a while but you are still sober most of the time.

Getting player names from others or tactics is however not a part of playing the game to its full extent. If you do so you could just as well share saves because you really aren't doing anything yourself.
