Wrong.
You either are or you aren't, you can't switch it on and off like a lightbulb, you can't be a part-time virgin.
LLM, or not. Period.

I agree and disagree. I don't have a problem with playing as a top-flight club in a separate save from the LLM one. I haven't played with a top side since the CM days, but that's me. But I wouldn't have a problem with it if it was in a completely different save. As I understood it the OP wanted to play in the same save, which is wrong in every possible way.
Playing as a top side gets boring very quickly. Unless you think counting straws of grass is a "fix", I think the "fix" would be playing LLM. But we all buy this game to have fun, not to necessarily play this or that way. If you don't like playing the LLM-way, then don't. It's that easy. We like LLM best, so we play LLM-style. Despite the many indications of otherwise, this actually isn't a dictatorship. You can play the game the way you want. But if you play non-LLM, don't tell us. Bonfires are hot in here |

I haven't seen anywhere in the forum header or the forum rules anything about not being allowed to post to other forums.
I also haven't seen anything about not being allowed to play any non-LLM games even if you don't intend to post any updates on it to the forum.

I don't think either of those points are mentioned in the header or rules which would explain why you've not seen them.
However - as recommendations from the regulars, I'd suggest that it'd be churlish to ignore them... no-one is saying how you should and shouldn't play, just providing advice as to what you should do to be a part of this forum.

Is there a reason then why they are not formal rules despite being de facto rules?

I am sorry, but I just can't agree with you, iajafer. I mean no offence by anything I type in this post as these are just my thoughts on the game and LLM and I'll happily accept any critique on what I say.
Although I haven't played any games with top flight football since cm 3, because I find it boring and unchallenging. It might take a season or two to get to win the league but after that you got nowhere to go. No new challenges and stagnant. I, however, understand why people want to play one or two saves with top flight teams. It takes alot of seasons to get to the top with a confrence team and people might want to try and get the dream squad for their team. I don't blame them, as they spent their money on the game and probably would want play the game to its full extent.
I'll admit that often when I complete some game, I start it again and cheat to get eg all the guns on the first level to just blast the hell out of it. It gets boring after a short while but still something that was fun to try. It the same with this game. Its fun to try it out but it gets boring after a short while.
If people however decide to play the game at the top level they should keep it to themselves and leave us out if it.
To sum things up: it's a game, play it as you like but if you want to stay in here, keep your sins to yourself.

| There are two schools of thought on this: there are all the LLaMas who all agree that you are either LLM or not, and then there is your opinion.
What does that tell you?
