I signed three new players that were all good enough to play a league above and now my team looked pretty solid. I still think I would need about 3-4 new players to make a real challenge for promotion. The bookies still thought I had a very bad team and gave me the odds of 50-1.

Season started and my team was in bad form. This however was probably caused by the fact that two of my new signings didn’t speak French or English. I was also plagued by injuries during the start of the season with an average of 6 first team players injured for the first 3 months. I then got a few international call ups so at a point I was missing 10 players, including my goalkeeper, my best defender, my best midfielder, and my 2 best strikers. So a few 15 and 16 year old youth players had to step up.

It pretty much ended up being the season of injuries which ended with 11th place, same as last year. My new young striker was selected the most promising player of the season and the team got a few awards. When the stadium expansion finished I ended up with 24 000 seats instead of 14 000 which I enjoyed. The board was however disappointed with the team’s performance once more. They are also thrilled with my level of commitment.

I then got a 3.8million pound offer for my young striker. Even though he is valued at 2.9 my chairman felt obliged to accept. I hate him so much and I want to kill him. Especially when I find out that the initial offer is way lower than his value. Second player he sells because he is greedy. Gah. If this happens again he’ll be sorry.

My striker, which is now leaving, was selected signing of the season.

As long as you had it selected as a playable league when you created the game. The CFA is quite hard though as the reserve sides of the big clubs are ludicrously good.

Yhere is? Damn. I thought I selected all the leagues in France. Getting a National team in France with only unsuccesful job in England is a tad off. I guess I'll start a new game then.
