Please don't flame me for this post, as i'm doing a search for my question and didn't find a good answer.
REgarding World player of the year awards, I'm Managing ManCity, and one of my players (Van de Vaart) was shortlisted to win World player of the year. Now, I also manage Nigeria, and was able to see all the players on the list. I voted for 3 players, none of who were on the shortlist, and lo and behold, 3 odd, random players won the award, NONE of who were shortlisted. Whats up with that??? I woulda love Vaart to win to give him a worldwide rep, and boost my shirt/ticket sales, but no joy. Any comments?
I have a question, I have managed Derby in the Prem for two years now and not been approached about voting in any awards. Is that normal or is there some special circumstance you are able to vote for these awards?

I think you need to be manager of a national side.
