Ok, I'm in my second season (FM07) since I'm constantly changing teams.

There's this guy, he's a scout/coach and he joined a league one team (currently being relegated to league 2) and he has some really excellent stats but

If I try to sign him, he'll give me the ol' "very large contract" despite that he gets 210 p/w from his current team, and he doesn't mention the "I'm in so much love with my current team" shtick

Is this normal?

This happens if a staff member has recently moved to a new club or is long established at his present club. It does not mean, however, that he will not be tempted by a big offer so see if he will bite.
