Not sure if anyone else has noticed this but how come in injury time, when blatantly nothing is going to happen, does the players abilities just disappear? It seems that in injury tiem players can't pass the ball to a team mate, they always get intercepted. It seems that when they're through on goal, magically the defender will sprint 30 yards in two seconds and make a last ditch tackle. It seems that even the simplest of passes get intercepted or go wayward and out of play.

It always seems to happen and is very annoying.

Not very realistic either.

Haha, this has been happening for years now. If you need a goal in stoppage time (assuming you even get highlights) or need to stop the opposition getting one (in which case the entire time plays out as highlights), 90% of the time you can't even hit a 10 yard pass to the open teammate, while the AI plays it's best football and will create excellent chances even if it hasn't all game prior.

Just a way to keep you on the edge of your seat I guess.

Nothing strange here, especially if you watch the whole match on full 90 mins.

On highlights, the game just shows you the, er, highlights - i.e. action.

The match engine reverts to the full details in the dying minutes, thus you see not highlights but whatever happens.

In real life the final minutes are sometimes frenetic; sometimes uneventful. FM reflects that - what's strange?

So why don't I get the full details in the dying minutes when I am 0-1 down or 0-0 against a team I should beat?
