Is it possible to have someone scout out future opposition when you are the coach of a national side.

In charge of England I got knocked out in the second round of the 2014 World Cup by a side that beat me tactically, because I had no idea how they played.

Can you get a coach to get a report or anything? Or are we supposed to judge how a team plays in the first 10mins and then try and make changes?

Although scout next opposition is available at club level it is, in my opinion, completely useless anyway.

Usually you get "They have a fairly strong side", or something like that, and a report on the size of their pitch. (New for FM08!!)

IRL a scout who produced a report like that would get sacked on the spot.

I have gotten stuff like tempo formation and key players and such?

How would I figure out passing style and tempo without the scout?

Go to your scouting pge on your for your international squad, select one of your coaches and assign "next opp". coaches work as scouts for international squads
