Default Defending corners

Not sure where the best place to suggest this is but I'll try it here:

You should be able to set players' instructions for defending corners to "First Man". The first man stands about a yard away from the near post to clear any under-hit corners. If the corner's going to go beyond him, he retreats to defend the post. You'll remember Alan Shearer doing this, and plenty since (and before presumably)

The Defending of corners settings are really vague and not as detailed as the attacking settings.

I can't imagine it would be massively difficult to implement similar settings for defending

I agree, the instructions for defending corners do not make it easy to stop the opposition scoring if the ball goes in the right area. Here are a few options I reckon would help:

Mark Specific - allows you to set your best defender or header of the ball to pick up a specific man rather than hoping 'Mark Tall Player' works.

Edge of the Area - puts one of your players just outside the area to close down anyone they have lurking around. I always find that if players are set to lurk outside the area they never get marked.

First Man - Agree with Andy here, you need to be able to set someone to cover that near post cross as it gets really annoying when they are unmarked all the time.

Oh and the other thing I hope gets changed for the next version, cut out defenders covering the short option unless either a man moves to offer a short pass, or the defender is instructed to cover short option. It drives me nuts when I have a man stood 10 yards away from the corner taker whilst they have someone unmarked in the box.

It might even be an idea to have Keeper instructions for corners: ie. come and collect or stay on line. Obviously when you have a keeper with aerial ability you dont want to see him rushing out!
