Then resign and go to another club. In real life it is the shareholders that own the club. They are represented as owners by appointing your bosses, the board to run the club for them.

In FM the shareholder's dividend is a mechanism where excess cash is removed from wealthy clubs.

Thanks for your totally illogical response. Any shareholder would realise that a club paying off it's loan sooner would mean more money in the long term. Also most chairman are majority shareholders so it would make sense that they would allow the club to repay it's loan to them early.

To break a loan will cause large interest payments as penalty. I won't bore you with the details of how it works. In addition, clubs are happy to have structured debt as they do not have to pay it off immediately and that money can be used for other, more pressing needs.

None of this really matters for FM. In FM the dividend is a balancing item to remove money from clubs that are wealthy.

It would be nice to have an option especially if the loan is from the chairman. He is generally the/a majority shareholder and also generally has the best interests of the club at heart. If i don't have any pressing needs transfer wise i would like him to take his loan money back.

I get your point on the balancing issue..the game is already too easy for certain teams and if not done the game would become even more dominated by the english teams.
