First of all I know there are 500 million work permit threads, but I'd just like to hear if there are any tips people have towards having them granted.
Like, paying them more, or setting a different status eg: key player, etc...
I know in past versions if the player had played a few internationals then you were more likely to be able to have one granted......

To get an automatic work permit, a player must have played in 75% of his countries senior A internationals over the last 2 years, and his country must be ranked in the top 70 of the FIFA rankings (averaged ober those two years). To get one on appeal, he must be a younger player with a high potential ability. These are the only factors that affect getting one.

That shouldn't work, young players with high potential aren't as likely to get a work permit as players who have a high reputation. That usually swings it, so if they have missed out on a few internationals they still get a work permit because they are well known and it is believed they can actually add something to the game.
