While playing FM08 today and setting up a couple of tutors for my youngsters, I had the idea that team bonding should play a much more important role in the game. I've set up a four or five tutors in the hope that the players will learn to love each other, my idea is that a close squad who work for each other is going to help results.
You see the likes of Roy Keane taking his players out to team bonding events and I feel this would be a good addition. Team spirit is a massive part of football, look at Chelsea or Arsenal - all the players work for each other and seem good friends. It can only breed success.
If we had more options for getting the team to be friends, I think it would be good. Things like taking the team paint balling etc. Obviously, some players would have a personality clash and perhaps it would not be so good for those players but if all goes well, the team have a higher determination to succeed for their friends.
As for the "learn to love each other" part, I'm saying nothing
I knew somneone would say something about that!
I think I kind of agree. When I had the idea I couldn't make up my mind whether it would be gimmicky or not. I think it could be but the again if it was done right it may avoid that description.
