Try saving in many files next time.
I usually have 3 and switch overwriting those.

That's what I do. Save after every match in case something goes wrong.

not every match(though you can if you like), have 3 different saves, so if the most recent fails to load then you have a couple of older ones to fall back on. A must if you are playing a long term game imo.

Definately not good when that happens. Luckily have not had that happen to me with FM08.

However, am I right in saying that FM07 had a backup? I'm sure once or twice when I had a power dip, which happens alot here in Spain , somehow there was an automatic "backup". This was obviously VERY handy, especially as these power dips would inevitably always happen in mid save
