I have searched for this and had no joy so had to ask.Ive just installed the graphic megapack,Which is awesome by the way,Totally brings the game to life.Anyway my problem is what happens if i want to add more content? If say i want to add some different player background pictures do i just go ahead as normal or will i have to drop the megapack? Can i just continue to stack more and more content on top of each other or will it buggering things up?If somebody could help me with this it would be great.Id also like to say thanks and keep up the good work to all the graphics makers out there,Youre all priceless.
Yeah you will be fine, Im assuming you want to add different stuff that hadnt been included in the mega pack.
EG, If there were backgrounds for italy in the megapack then there should be a folder called "serie a" or similar in your my docs/sports interactive/fm07/graphics/backgrounds folder.
If now you want to add uk stadiums to the game then download them and put the new unzipped england folder in the backgrounds folder. There would then be two folders "serie a" and "england", one from the megapack and one from another source. They shouldnt interfere with one another.
Just noticed you were asking specifically about facepacks, in my game the path for the faces is:
my documents/sports interactive/fm07/graphics/pictures/players/normal
In the normal folder there are numerous folders called england, italy, spain, germany etc that have pictures in for each league. These were all downloaded seperately and just plonked in together, they all seem to work OK. So yeah continue to add what you want.
If you add stuff that has already been included in the megapack, I dont think that would work. In this case you would have to overwrite the files you want to replace with your newer downloads.
That was fine,Just what i was after,Although you said if i wanted to replace parts of the megapack that id have to overwrite files in order for the newer graphics to work.Could you explain this further as this is all new to me and im not totally with it yet,Thanks in advance

Say you downloaded a serie a background pack, if you open the folder you'll see all the pictures and a config file. The pictures would probably be named milan, inter, roma, lazio etc etc. If any of the pics are a bit rubbish you could replace it with another.
Imagine the roma pic showing the Stadio Olimpico was pixellated or something, you could go on google or flickr, find a better, bigger, clearer pic and save it. Then if you rename it roma and place it in the Serie A folder your computer will ask you if you want to overwrite the original. If you do this then the game will treat the pic you found on the internet as the pic that was in the megapack. Your new pic would then show up in the game in place of the original.
You just have to make sure you name any new files the same as the ones you want to replace/overwrite.
If you had two serie a background folders (or serie a facepacks/logos or whatever) then you would be asking the game to use both packs for the same thing. I dont think it would bugger the game up, I think the game would just use the first version that was installed. Not sure really though.
If you're happy with all the pics in the megapack then this isnt anything you need to concern yourself with really.
Thanks for your help Bootle,One last question.Pretty much the same as before but with skins. The megapack has given me six skins,So can i still get new skins and add them to my list and they will show on the list with the other six?Cheers.
I cant really help you with that one, I've never bothered with skins, sorry. Though I imagine you could get more, in the same way as the rest of the graphics.
