Hallo,

do you know, if we will see a new aurora-skin that will match in FM 2007?
I'm hopefully waiting of a skin, which will show us changing backgrounds.

Dont think its happening mate. I think a lot of us want Aurora back...Although you can get changing backgrounds working on all skins

Admitedly im not too sure myself i only did it once with fm06. I just remember dragging the folder containing all the pics and the config file into the backgrounds folder within the skin folder that you want it to work for ie if u wanted it to work for the aurora one you'd just put it into backgrounds folder within the aurora file in your skins folder. However im not sure if thats right

Yes, thats the way, but: You need a skin which supports that. And till now there is no skin to do so.

You don't need a particular skin to support changing backgrounds, and indeed, I employ changing backgrounds a lot when I make/edit skins. You can add it in yourself: it all comes down to the XML file. I copied the following instructions direct from Pani's instructions in Hellenic 07 (which incidentally, is a very good skin).

To add another background image to the game, add a 1024 x 768 pixel jpeg to the background folder this config.xml file is in. You then need to add an association record to the maps list below.

To associate the image with a PLAYER, add the following type of record:
<record from="imageFileName" to="graphics/pictures/person/UNIQUE_ID#/background"/>

To associate the image with a TEAM, add the following type of record:
<record from="imageFileName" to="graphics/pictures/team/UNIQUE_ID#/background"/>

To associate the image with a COMPETITION, add the following type of record:
<record from="imageFileName" to="graphics/pictures/comp/UNIQUE_ID#/background"/>

With these example records above, you need to replace imageFileName with the filename of the image (you don't need to include the .jpg), and also replace UNIQUE_ID# with the unique ID of the player, team or competition.

Thank you but I don't believe, that you now can see changing various backgrounds of one team e.g. I just tried out and if you have three pictures of one and the same stadium FM will always take the first picture.

With your changes in the xml-file you can only take one picture to one stadium-ID. The FM 2006-version was able to take more than one picture to the same stadium-ID.

It just changed for FM07.

In FM06 you could assign several graphcis to the same ID but you can't any more. IT's nothing to do with backgrounds. You could assign several player pictures, logos - everything.

It's not a skin issue, it's a game issue.

okay, thank you for information. Have you just an idea which skin to use: The background pics must be more in background, because the font ist'n easy to read yet.
