Academic Chocolate Box (non-alcoholic version) or enhanced international management
Academic Chocolate Box
Non-alcoholic version - v. 1.0
The purpose of this update is to make it possible to manage as many national teams as possible while still selecting the small database size, and without retaining all players from the database using a DDT file.
The non-alcoholic version is intended for those players who do not trust edited database files. It consists solely of a DDT file which retains clubs from all over the world in order to activate national teams. Not all national teams are manageable in this version.
The Chocolate Box has been intended to work with the 7.0.0. version of the database. Most nationalities are represented with no fewer than 40 players. This usually makes their national teams manageable, while the Fred generation system should provide enough newgens for the future.
The Chocolate Box is not intended for players who want to manage a specific national team - they will be much better off retaining all players of the desired nationality - but for those who want a chance to manage small national teams during multiseason careers and do not like to see national teams full of gray men. The setup of the Chocolate Box should not put too much additional strain on the PC or considerably slow down gameplay.
In order to install the Chocolate Box you should copy it to the three folders: db/700/edt, db/701/edt and db/702/edt in the FM 2007 directory (provided they exist). The Chocolate Box has been tested solely on the 7.0.0. database version with medium database size and the Polish league selected. This means that using different database versions, sizes, and setups may result in a varying number of national sides available for management.
The non-alcoholic version of the Chocolate Box should also work for FM 2006.
