It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Aye I'm the same. I dunno why it just comes really easy hehe.

As for training its still the ones I listed above, I doubt I'll change that now.

I think this thread is pointless unless Hammer sets up exactly the same as Cleon and has the same players. This would make for a good consistency experiment. What say you, Hammer? If the disparity between the two positions is significant, then this would go a long way in feeling out the 'random factor.'

Its not pointless, my aim is to show how I play it differently to hammer and see what different success we have to each other. Your just not open to the possiblity that its you doing something wrong are you? You always say that your tactic works blah blah but you've never actually posted about what tactic you use. Plus i'm still wiating for the game you said you would upload. Then If I got time i'll take your side to the league easy too.

This is much the same as the idea I had, except less work for Cleon & more people would help ... no?

I got unlucky in the league cup and drew Man Utd away. I say I was unlucky because I always play my reserves in the League Cup to give them the added match fitness boost and to rest my main 11 for the league, as that is my priority. So I expected to loose this game and I did 4-1. I totally got out played which was fine as my reserve squad will only be here for this year if I choose to carry the game on.

Since then though my team as been playing pretty well, these are the results from the 2 games after this match;

Everton
Chelsea

Cleon, i'm yet to get going as a couple of things have come up, but am hoping to do so sometime today?.

Looks like you've had a great start to the season, am i right in saying you have simply implemented your tactic and instructions and then played each game through with no in match tweaks etc?, if so that is quite amazing. :eek:

I take it that you dont do team talks either?.

Yes thats right, no in game tweaks. Just subbed players if they were injured thats it.Once you got a good base tactic you hardly ever have to do in game tweaking tbh. Its not uncommon for me to go most of the season doing just the littlest of changes every now and again.

And if the AI switches to the 424 it doesn't effect me as I am playing defensive and counter attacking already, so automatically I am counter attacking that already.

Nope I don't do team talks I find them pointless on 07.

Here are a few more results;

Bolton

Newcastle

In this game I really should have changed the isntructions for the subs I brought on, but I just couldn't be bothered tbh. I still won anyway so meh!!

Watford

This game should have been easier than it was but I had 3 first team players all get injured this week so the team was a bit make shift in places. Still managed to win though.

I'm now top of the league by 6 points and got the best offensive and defensive records.

Ashton is proving it was a good idea to build the team around him as he has scored 17 goals in 14 League games.

Cleon what instructions if any do you make to the opposition instructions before kick off, Or do you ignore it and play as default.
