In all honesty Cleon i've had tactics that see us create 15-20 shots a game and still struggle to score?.
Its always been the case when i play as West Ham, i lose a massive amount of games like the Surs one, whether i tweak or not?. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Then its a finishing problem you have. You might need to work on this more in trianing for the players who keep missing the chances. If you create 15-20 shots a game, id expect you to convert 1 a game at the very least.
What style of passing did you use for the wet game? </BLOCKQUOTE>
I had it on the last notch of mixed, just before direct.
Whats weird is i seem to score a lot of goals, but they come in fits and starts, when i really need a goal is the time i struggle the most?. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Right so we rules out the passing as thats what id use in wet games, maybe 1 or 2 nothces more advanced but not that much to make massive differences between us.
Do you mean you struggle when you are chasing a goal, i.e 1-0 down?

I usually find it hardest to score when i have just given someone a good tonking, i'll end up drawing 0-0 or the opposition will nick a goal with their only shot on target.

The thing I cannot understand at all is this:
It is often said that in this game you cannot stick to one tactic and expect to win everything. It is often said that the days of the plug-and-play tactics have passed away.
In many threads, people who seem to have a great understanting of the game (Cleon included) stated that players who fail to get consistency lack of game comprehension, and don´t attend to many aspects of the game, such as media, training, player interaction, weather, etc, etc.
The fact that Cleon created a tactic, and claimed that he hasn´t made tweaks, and took West Ham into an amazing first place without too much effort, in fact contradicts tons of posts made on these forums. I mean:why those many variables doesn´t seem to affect Cleon´s game? He built a tactic, he selected his players and simply played the game. If this game was that easy then why would be so many people struggling and trying to figure out how the game work?

| While that is true in many ways, its also been stated that if you find a strong tactics then you don't need to tweak much at all. I think my Sheff Utd Project proved this and showed people you don't need to tweak constantly.
However I couldn't have used this West Ham one without tweaking it all season as it simply was not strong enough. But for the moment it was fine. But remember I still hadn't played that many games in total and a few of them I was lucky to even get a result. The variables would have effected me sooner or later. Once I suffered a loss in the league, I suspect id need to change a lot or the AI will just keep beating me.
When your lucks in its in. I've no doubt that my luck was down to the start I made at the beginning its carried me through and got mys triker scoring goals. If Ashton doesn't score I don't win simple as. Due to the way I set up and made the tactic around him.
The people who have most success on this game don't even visit this forum (tactics part I mean). Because if you visit this forum and see something thats working for another user, you are inclined to try that yourself in your game. And then you see someone else trying something else and again you follow same pattern. And before you know it everything you are doing is other peoples ideas and not your own.

OK folks, download Cleon's game and start playing like how he claims; pick players, click continue game and play games without any tweaks, to see how your game goes.
Since he stated that the tactic works fine for the moment, you should continue your winning streak, or at least some fine form instead of suddenly falling to a losing streak.
The stage is perfectly set up for verification and testing. If everyone but Cleon fails to win, when we supposedly play the same way, then there is obviously something wrong.

This thread has gone really really ugly and its best comepletely delete it off the forum. Absolutely pointless, this forum is about tactics and training and crap like this should be dealt somewhere else, honestly.
If Cleon cheats then take it to a forum 'court' or something. Just seeing this thread hinders my mood to seek some solid tactical discussion and posible solution.
