It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

I just got back in so I will start a new game within the hour. I wont post about my friendlies though as the results never mean anything for me, all I use friendlies for are just to get all the players in my squad fit. I'll let you know what tactic and instructions I will be using just before my first game.

I'll also tell you my signings, training schedules as well. I won't be doing team talks though its one area of the game I hate on 07 and think its garbage. Although 08 is a different matter and i'll take responsibility then, but for now always leave to the Assistant me.

Right time to get some food then a FM marathon

Sure join in if you like, more the merrier. It will give a wider range of things we all do different then.

I got 7.02 with large db running with all the English Leagues. Its all I got mine set on.

If there is a few of us doing this, then any updates we do try and make them pretty long as it wont get too confusing to follow then

Just so people know, I have started and I'm 4 games into the season atm. I will update once I played a few more games. As its pointless updating after every single game as it just wastes time as the write ups take soo long

Right these are the schedules I have choosen to use;

Keepers
Defenders
Midfield
Attackers

Transfers

Link

As for tactics I thought id do something different than I normally do and opt to go for one upfront. So I designed a tactic that will utilise Dean Ashton as the main striker and it heavily relies on him to score the goals, something I know he can do with ease. I will use Tevez just behind him as the creator and give him as much freedom as I possibly can. I have no doubt that if both stay fit can win me the league. Ashton should get me 30+ goals easily, as for Tevez I'm unsure how many he will score as I want him to just create them for now. Here is the shape I went for;

Overview
Team Instructions

I opted for this set up as it will invite the opposition onto me and I can just quickly counter them. So I expect to not have the most possession and that the opposition will have a fair few shots, but none of them should cause real concern as a lot will be long distance efforts.

Player Instructions

Keeper
Fullbacks
Centrebacks
DMC
Wingers
MC
AMC
Striker

As you can see I have left everything pretty basic.

My team still not has gelled properly yet and needs about another 8 weeks or so. I'm playing some okay football but once my players get a good understanding my results will improve and my defence will tighten I have fear of that. As I am only playing this game to show Hammer100 how id try and finish in the top 2 I've not been doing ingame tweaking as I just want to finish the game as quick as possible.

But none the less here are my results and the league table. Its still early days but these results wont change much, I've already got the league won imo.

Results
League Table

I lost in the UEFA cup due to me not putting my chances away, I had enough chances to win the game but it was just one of them days. It was a small price to pay for topping the league though.
