This is actually one of my points fella.

I CAN play this game, i've done so almost non stop since the day of its release.

Yes, i can win the Prem with a top 5 or 6 side 1st season AND stave off relegation for poor sides and maybe grab a Cup along the way.

At the end of the day though, this success is more down to doing enough right for the game to allow you to win and this i can do.


Nobody can stop this game from beating you if that is its decision at the end of the day, if you dont agree with that then PROVE IT!.

If so mate, i have given them all a try and i was left very dissapointed!.

I am going to write to SI and ask if they can start a new forum for those FM'ers who like to cheat, from what i've seen lately its bound to be busy?.

If anyone actually has the bottle to put their Management credibility on the line, then e-mail me using the address in my public profile?.

Why not prove once and for all just how good you are at the game, lets show the whole FM community?.

Thats because you did CHEAT!.

Anyone with half a brain can deduce that from the first page or so of this thread!.

Your claims are ridiculous and all you proved was that all you need to do is turn the game on and off enough times to get the result that you want!.

One last thing Cleon, lets start the same game and walk me through every detail, show me the same success as you managed on your own and i will make an apology to the whole FM Community and NEVER post here again!.

How is crying "cheat, cheat, cheat!" whenever anyone tries to show that maybe the game is beatable going to help your cause, Hammer? While I agree that it's possible to be sceptical about the game, this blind "no, it can't be done" attitude that you and arteta have showed doesn't help the issue.

For the record, I'm not entirely convinced either way. But, I'm offering some suggestions - simple suggestions is all - to explain some of what just went on.

I played that game against Portsmouth, and did very similar to you, Garry mate.



Played well, no chance of scoring. The player ratings for West Ham were pretty poor too. Tevez was slashing at everything, Ashton was anonymous. The tactic looks solid-ish, but certainly not a world beater. However, I still think that Cleon's doing something you're not:

So, why the discrepancy. I thought about this. Part of it is the opposition. Had I been "tweaking", Ashton would have either been taken off or removed from his TM position - his header conversion rate was quite abysmal. Lumping the ball to him when playing against Campbell and Primus was a waste of time. Both were flagged by the commentary in my game ("Campbell is winning everything in the air today").

Similar things happened against Manchester United and Dinamo, looking back through the fixtures, but I'm surprised that Ashton played so well against Chelsea.

Here's the thing. Neither game here has proved anything. For a start, I noticed problems straight away in Cleon's tactic and find it hard to believe that he has made no changes (however slight) since game one. Cleon, what would you do in this situation - would you have taken the 0-0, or sorted out those poor performances?

I don't think the cheat brigade do themselves any favours by throwing accusations and insults around. At the same time, I still feel more information is needed. Maybe it's my tactical naïveté, but there is no way I would have been contented to play that tactic for the whole 90 minutes if my championship charge were on the line. Maybe Portsmouth played the right style to counter it (makes sense based on the stats and what I could see in the game)? I'm not sure.

Once again we prove that you can't prove anything...

Millie - I am not haphazardly throwing in accusations of cheating mate!.

Read the thread through again carefully and tell me that everything adds up?.

I'm not some kid who's ****ed off that he cant play the game, so what even if people are better than me?, i find that out at Poker everytime i play and its cost me a lot more than £24.99 i can tell you!.

I simply believe that cheating is the lowest of the low and its disgusting that Cleon should resort to it to make claims that he is an FM God!.

The answer to all this is very simple, anyone out there willing to put his money where his mouth is, we will both start a game as West Ham and go through it hour by hour day by day if nessasary to make sure we make the same decisions, buy same players etc etc and if that works?, then like i said, i'll apologise and go hang my head in shame never to return!.
