It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Looking at the "Arsenal Formation" You posted, It might be better to play a Milan style Diamond. 4-1-2-1-2. Don't use Fabregas as a Pirlo esque DM, It wastes his attacking skills,
I would suggest playing Bodmer as a more Ballack style AM, It's his natural position.
Try: DM: Gilberto, MCL: Rosicky, MCR: Fabregas, AM: Bodmer. Hleb is a fantstic winger, but he's not a MC.

At Arsenal, I played Hleb as AMR, Fabregas and Bodmer in the centre and van Persie at AML, with Gilberto in the holding role. Rosicky rotated with Bodmer and Fabregas. Henry on his own up front, naturally.

Won me the Champions League two years running, but less successful domestically.

A bit defensive for you Millie? 4-5-1

451 can be really attacking, especially if you set it up so its a 433 when in possession.

So the MR & L are pushed to the FCL & R positions with the aid of the line?

A bit like the 4411 with the MR and ML pushed to the AML/R positions. For some reason having players starting the these positions leaves you open for a drubbing. eg trying to implement the 4231 2xmc/ 1xamc + aml+r.

I think he as the mr/ml in the AML/AMR positions not the FR/FL ones. I could be wrong though.

It can be very solid, especially if you make them track back or closedown really high up the pitch, its not uncommon to see them make the opposition make a mistake and score from it.

Aye thought as much

Do you give the AML/AMR barrows or farrows? I'm guessing farrows though?

It's 4-1-2-2-1.

I play 4-2-1-2 with no arrows. It was just the wrong screenshot I posted.
