I got a problem. Or a question if you may.

Anyway...

I made my own 442 formation for lower league team and it wasnt doing well from time to time.

But here my problem:

1. My fullback and central defenders play Direct Passing ** 6 notches up **
2. My wingers play Short Passing ** 6 notches down **
3. Central midfielders play short passing ** 8 notches down **
4. Striker play short passing all the way down.

Q: Will the huge difference in passing between defendse and offense make it my formation wont work?

Problem 2:
I got my defenders to not close down but Im having trouble figuring out if they should ...

* In my head my feeling says not cause they would be drawn to much out of position. but perhaps I have to combine low creativity with high closing down? [/confused]

Now where is that tactic genius to help me out?

Problem 1

Passing shouldn't effect you too much, although in a wet match you won't do too well due to playing short passing. You seem to be penalised if you don't go a more normal/direct approah for wet games.

Problem 2

Depends really, know one knows better than you if they need to closedown as you are the one watching the game. How is it effecting you at the minute? Do you notice anything bad from them not closing down?

2. I notice that my defender run backwards when the opposing midfield runs towards me. But when i keep 'm closing down a lot they run by my defenders or the pass it through to their wingers...
