There are 21 notches on the mentality slider. The first notch is for all out defending and the last notch is for all out attacking. When you click on 1 or 21 you will override individual settings. But if you stay within the band ie.2-20 then individual overrides team.

We tried allowing users to edit once, then all hell broke loose. So we switched back

First off, I think another Sheffield United project, but in more detail would be fantastic. Everything you need to know and will the extra detail your talking about, it will be very beneficial, to all sorts of members.

I like the idea of the own tactic thread, with a short description. However, if you pinned how to set out a tactic it could really improve the quality of the tactics submitted.

Whatever you do its bound to be good, I only really have the above idea for now. But, it will be interesting so see what yourself and the likes of wwfan and the like, along with the rest of the staff.

I'd really like to know if theres any changes to the way tactics are created in game. Cause with the current slider feature it's kinda difficult to know exactly where to put the slider unless you've experimented a few million times.
As for articles and discussion. An article on lower leagues, finding the right player, creating the perfect training schedual and such would be of great benefit for every player. Old and new. If there are new features, an in depth review of them and what they do. As new stuff always takes a while to get into.

In the FAQ's can you add like a common terms as there is something like RoA, or something along them lines. I have no idea what it means Slightly off topic, but on if that makes sense.

That's been mine and Cleon's approach for a while now. We pin up how we create tactics and then take it from there.

CanabarySliders are fairly basic. The inter-relationship tends to get lost in the translation. My article will probably eventually evolve to how I use it to get a non-league side promoted to the premiership in the quickest time possible. So far I've been able to get sides promoted in successive seasons. My thread will try and detail as much my approach as possible.

I have a fundamentally simple way of playing.

It would really help me if someone were to do a tactical analysis of particular clubs, and how to base the settings around the players - ie how you you adapt your tactic to the players who have at the club? At the best of times, I have absolutely no idea how to get the best out of my players.

All individual settings override global except ultra-defensive team mentality and all-out-attack team mentality (1 and 22 on the team mentality slider).

This is the official word from SI. I use these assumptions when building tactics and it seems to work.
