It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Personally (just personal opinion) I can't ask anymore of this community that it hasn't done yet with the tools and information they were given.

If I had to request something, my request would go to SI, for them to be more active in this, the tactical side of things, and to be way, way more forthcoming with actual, usable information.

I think we need to go past mere 'Hints and Tips' and start working and playing with actual, factual information. Unfortunately, that's a step SI must take. Not us.

That'd be grand, Cleon. Thanks in advance, whatever the result.

Ideally the discussions shouldfocus on each area that needs attention so te following would be my choices:

1. Training - including coach distribution, achieving 5 stars, and anything else pertinant to this subject.

2. Youth nurturing - A guide to the best way of bringing a youth player through your club from the under 18's to the first team.

It should include information on linking with senior players and the benefits, identifying which links are ideal, briefly touch on training for youths, how to identify good prospects, benefits of loaning them out and to what sorts of clubs and so on.

3. Tactics - I guess this can be broken down more but as a starting point I notice that most AI sides (in the english game at least) start with 3 or 4 different tactics: 442flat, 442shot farrows, 442 long farrows. A guide on how to play against these would be ideal for the beginner players until they get a handle on things.

i was thinking of posting something similar only yesterday, but i found i couldnt give a definitive answer so scrapped it!

but it went along the lines of;

'what mentality?'
whereas you could post your theory of what mentality you use and the reasons for its success! for instance if you have an attacking ment of 15 you need to have short/direct passing, narrow/wide width, deep d-line or push up...etc or whatever you think works and an explanation as to why it work and why some things wont work!

same goes for all the sliders, where we can all weigh up whats right and whats wrong! sure it depends on the club but htings like this would go a long way in establishing a good network of help to all!

but i dont think ive had a definitive answer to whether team mentality is over-ridden my individual mentality yet! and if so whats the point??
