I started a season with Sparta and I keep losing.

A just got the message: "Bey unwilling to experiment blabla"

So I made new tactics and still lose even though I took Cleon hints in one of his threads about possesion football and control play.

You should stick to one formation and make different tactics within that formation.

Changing formations every game means your team will never settle.

First of all, I don’t know what you are trying to achieve with the home formation. I don’t see the need for two DMC, you are the home team and should be looking to take advantage of that by getting players in attacking positions when in possession. Also, you have direct quick passing so this would mean your 2 DMC would be bypassed when attacking. It would be interesting to see their passing/completion stats for a home game?

Also, you have your two fullbacks running forward at every opportunity, this could leave you vulnerable at the back especially when pushing up, your tactic would be easily counter attacked and I’m guessing you concede late goals when the AI switched to 4-2-4 formation. Your wingers are also running forward so this contradicts the fullbacks getting forward, the whole point is that the overlap then wingers and get to the byline, but you have them all running forward which is illogical to me. I don’t know any teams which play this way?
This is just my observations.

Why not make the game available for download so we can have a closer look at your team/tactics etc.

I’d stick counter attack on your away formation; increase the width as you are playing with wingers.

It’s hard to give you accurate info unless seeing the individual instructions for each player but I have given you a few ideas.

I thought the DMC's only run back on my formation when they lose the ball.

I had my wingers run up forward to put more pressure on their fullback ( I thought )

my AMC is my best player so I thought that putting him there instead of MC would give an advantage. ( I was wrong, again )

My away formation seemed to do well untill they keep pumping long balls over my defenders even though they all have pace at least 13 i think so I thought it wouldnt be a problem.

I tried playing with free rolls but then they keep making stupid mistakes.

What do you mean by making my game available? The entire save game or the tactics?

Ím ready to give up. FM is so hard for me. Not with Ajax or Chelsea of course but I dont like to play like that.

I cant upload my save game right now (at work) but I'll try that later.

I was thinking about using the away tactic (as above) for both home and away. Only making changes to the team instructions. But that didnt help either.

Does anyone see if I did anything wrong on the away tactic? As I know the home thing is probably wrong.

well it would depend on individual instructions too i suppose. Have you set up your players with individual instructions? Forward runs, running with ball, things like that?

What about passing? Is everyone on a team setting?

No I tried using short passing with the player who have high passing stats. Like my MC's and my wingers get to run a lot with the ball as they have the technique.

My CD's are on direct passing (sometimes long to just hoof the ball out of the area) and decided to let my fullback run up slightly but set them on tight marking and closing down to hunt down their wingers.

But failed... terribly.
