Arteta and Moggy do the 4-3-3 - A look at how one may approach creating tactics
Stemming from the West Ham Challenge thread, arteta is god and I decided we would both compare our experiences at creating a 4-3-3 with a flat midfield, something like this:
Inadvertedly we'd both thought about trying this with Sevilla, so I'll start now since I have time on my hands and Sevilla are about to be on TV. (Arteta if you wish you can do it with another club, or we can just compare experiences with Sevilla). Sevilla have a little bit of money and the players that suit this formation with some spare to sell.
What should make our approaches a bit different is that I am yet to succeed with a 4-3-3 whereas I know arteta has. By taking this through logically hopefully I can find some success and people can advise and criticise and others can learn altogether.
My aim personally is to take this far enough to compete for La Liga. Sevilla present more of a challenge than other top clubs because Juande Ramos has made a group of players punch above their weight so I hope to emulate that and more. I also want to create beautiful football, which is more than possible in La Liga with a 4-3-3.
I won't start my tactic creation until I have done all the dealing I want to in the transfer market.
Arteta, if you're definitely on board perhaps you could give your rationales for doing this and say what you want to acheive. Are you definitely going to use Sevilla?
