Play standard 4-4-2 with my Villa side doing pretty well this year,season 2 in 5th place. Unbeaten at hme but struggle away against teams who play that 4-3-3 Chelsea type formation of one CF and then two wingers. Lost only 3 games all year but got absolutely battered by Spurs who played that....are there any genral tips in how to deal with that kind of formation?

I was thinking of changing to 5-3-2 but just didnt have enough defenders as i had nearly the whole of my first choice dfence out injured.

You need to play with wingers who are higher up the pitch...ideally a formation like this

That formation can snuff chelsea's one out...and take their fullbacks out of the game, thus leaving your MCs and your DC's time to take care of their wingers...

Ahh thank you....playing against that Chelsea type formation at home is fine it's just when we play away we get so many chances created against us....Aaron Lennon destroyed me...il try it out,cheers!
